Camp Democracy Delivers War Crimes Indictment

In December of 2005 and January of 2006, a war crimes tribunal in New York City heard testimony from dozens of witnesses. Jurors included 29-year military veteran Ann Wright and former CIA analyst Ray McGovern. They announced their verdict in a press conference on Wednesday, September 13th at Camp Democracy. They then hand-delivered the verdicts to the White House and the Justice Department.

why we have the duty to speak out

please click on cloy and grant's photos and listen to their stories.

these two men told their stories on stage for the first time at camp casey 3.

my mother, a military wife and daughter, cringes every time someone talks about the women and children killed in iraq. she fears we will return to the vietnam era when soldiers were (allegedly) called baby killers.

these men tell the stories of the innocents they've killed. we are not only killing them in iraq, we are killing our own...

it is our job to stop this civilian administration from creating more victims.

dedication

i'm home.

switching gears.

while i was at camp i kept this song running through my head:

people are often unreasonable, illogical and self-centered.
forgive them anyway.

if you are kind people may accuse you of selfish ulterior motives.
be kind anyway.

if you are successful, you may win some false friends and some true enemies.
succeed anyway.

if you are honest and frank, people may cheat you.
be honest and frank anyway.

what you spend years building someone could destroy overnight. build anyway.
build anyway.

if you find serenity and happiness they may be jealous.
be happy anyway.

the things you do today people will often forget tomorrow.
do good anyway.
do good anyway.

give the world the best you have.
it may never be enough.
give the world the best you've got anyway.

because, you see, it was never between you and them anyway.

now that i'm home this keeps running through my head:

i dedicate this journey to
all the batshit crazy people i met along the way.
you don't know who you are.
